To share with our customers more about the people and brands behind the gifts carry, we’ve launched a new set of icons so customers can easily identify products that are either handmade, produced with a social mission in mind or created out of reclaimed or recycled materials. When you see one these icons, you can be assured that your purchase is supporting a producer that in one way or another, is trying to make a positive impact on our world.

Handmade: The handmade icon identifies products that are either woven, stitched, drawn, crafted or otherwise built by hand and never factory-produced. Often these are unique, one-of-a-kind pieces, each slightly different from the next just by the very nature of being produced by hand.

Reused/Recycled: The reused/recycled icon identifies products that are built from materials that may have started off as one product, but have now found a new life as a component of an altogether different product.

Social Mission: The social mission icon identifies makers that have pledged to donate a portion of their profits to a humanitarian or environmental cause, or are structured as a nonprofit entity to help support a larger social initiative.
